Don Huggins I have a message for your "deckhand" ******** Huggins! I was watching his interview on Deadliest Catch season 1, and his ignorant view on unions need correcting. He stated negatively about "union coffee breaks" and lead it to believe that unions are misguided. IF this is how he truly feels about unions, then HE himself needs to be re-guided. Please let him know that I would love to help him be re-directed.

LOSER LOWLIFE PSEUDO-CAPTAIN Derrick Captain Derrick, you did a MOST TERRIBLE job to be polite. You also had the balls to say something to the affect that you did everything that you were paid to do... I think NOT, i think you were paid TO CATCH CRAB! I think they were hoping that you would be friendly & helpful in this transition period. You were extremely unfriendly, arrogant, condescending, rude & disrespectful to them. I believe Jake was right when he said you were using him as a scapegoat to deflect the MOST AWFUL,SAD, & MISERABLE job of catching crab. Also instead of CONDEMNING Jake & treating him like a loser criminal drug addict, you could have went the opposite route & tried to help him overcome his problem & help mentor both of them. I really think you are a MISERABLE,LOW LIFE, LOSER, with esteem problems & a total piece of S***! Also WHY did you call & notify the police & try to have Jake arrested??? That was INCREDIBLY SUPER UNCOOL!!! I totally DETEST YOU after that. Try helping him NOT ruining his life... You also can & are going to get HURT by SNITCHING like that. Most HEINOUS & TERRIBLE... What kind of LOSER A**H*** are you? These 2 put their faith, hope & livlihood in you & you FAILED THEM MISERABLY & went out of your way to F*** with them & essentially undermine & ruin them. To put it mildly, YOU are a most HEINOUS ANUS, LOWLIFE piece of S*** who will get some real BAD karma in the future! I HOPE you are NEVER on this show or seen again A**WIPE! You also said you WEREN'T going to SHARE your knowledge(of being a captain & crabfishing) with them... How NICE & HELPFUL of you, for these 2 brothers who had hoped you would help them learn & keep the Cornelia Maria going! How wonderful you are as a person nevermind friend. You TRULY should be TOTALLY ASHAMED of yourself, & move to North Korea or something... Thanks Derrick!

Pot Hauling/Rigging Question How come everytime a pot comes up to the rail, it has to be spun 180-degrees around the vertical before being lifted over the rail and locked down on the launcher?
It just seems like the bridle could be changed so that the pot came up "right side in". I'm sure there's a reason, but darned if I can figure it out.

IREXX if you want to meet Johnathan then make it happen.. i just love the juxtaposition of John the hardened serious salty grizzled Sea mariner and John softy teddy bear who rescues people and birds .. as for derrick the captain of Cornelia Marie ,Josh approached him after Phil';s death to help them but Derrick let power take him over and altho i understand he is responsible for Josh Jake and the crew he went over board with the boys

Class act I've been watching Deadliest Catch since the beginning. Being a marine biologist, I was naturally drawn to the program. One thing the has interested me is the attitude of the captains and how they've evolved over the years. Jonathan and Andy are truly a class act. They have big hearts as shown by their caring ( J with bird and visiting the hospital with Phil and Andy's demeanor. Your children should be proud Andy. Keep it up.

My favorite show! I would love to meet Johnathan, and see the boats up close and personal. Have not missed an episode and crazy about this show. I live in Berryville, Va, Like Mayberry RFD. 2 lights in the town. HA. Who would think a crazy nurse in the country would fall for this. I am a bad girl but good at it. This show rocks. How can you meet Johnathan??? or any of the captains. Maybe they can film on the Shenandoah river. I am so sad about Phil, and disappointed with the new captain. I do not like the way he treats the boys. He needs to be out. How many people agree with me? Why didn't Murray take over. Who found that captain. Poor Jake and Josh. I love you guys and keep up the show. Jrexx

Discovery has a variety of shows But this Deadliest Catch has to be my very favorite . I love the ships, I love fishing , I love crabs , the guys are awesome , considering how the camera's get in the face , during some of life's most difficult moments , which would hard for anyone let alone out at or on sea ! I love the fact that for the most part these are family owned and family works together and suffer together and take those hard times and or moments , and do the best they can . The scenery shots , the ocean , are spectacular !!!!

crab pots I assume that the crab pots are leased/ rented by the boats from a supplier.
Do the processors own them or other, private companies?
What is the fee per pot?

college on the Deadliest Catch I'm looking for help on the final thesis of the year it's worth 40% of my final grade. I;m interested in the cost of a tripout for crab. anything that discovery can't show too.
I would like to hear from one the crew guys too... What a bonus that would be. someone who could tell me what it's like from the fisrt day out the coming. Working your selfs to the brink of phyical exhaustion. to living quarters to eating everthing for the in side...
