Battle 40-foot waves, storms, ice and a nearly 100 percent crew member injury rate in the dangerous hunt for undersea riches on the Bering Sea with the new video game Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm, to be launched on the Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PC.

The Alaskan Storm Game - Deadliest Catch Wiki
The game was inspired by Sig, Edgar and Norman Hansen -- three brothers who have made their living crab fishing on the Bering Sea aboard their family's fishing vessel, the Northwestern. The Hansen brothers started game development with Liquid Dragon Studios in October 2005.

With waves over 40 feet high, Deadliest Catch Alaskan Storm features the best wave effects in a video game to date. In the words of Capt. Sig Hansen, "It may not be life or death, but chills went up my spine the first time I saw Northwestern sink in the game."

Weather and fishing conditions are based on authentic weather and storm data and get progressively worse each season, increasing the challenge. The ultimate goal is to return safely each season, upgrade your boat and crew, and attempt to break Capt. Sig Hansen and the Northwestern crew's actual lifetime catch of 20 million pounds.

I bought this game Aug 1st and i am totally disabled and so i play this game 12,14 sometimes 16 hrs a day i can't sllep much due to my back.So by playing this game so many hrs kind of makes me a game expert and this guide is to help those who have question's and need help. Also i have a data spreadsheet that lets one get rid of all the jotted notes of crab counts and trying get a avg.The data sheet puts all your pots into order by numers such as string 1 pot 1 and so on you input the hrs into season and the total fleet crab counts into there spots and whammy the total seasons hrs like 136 hrs for a King season. It will avg how many lbs are in 5 pots .If you put your soak times in when you put in your total crab count from your plotter and your crab count the difference in lbs will show and you put that in the spot next to your crab count. Guys or gals this data sheet will even tell you how many individual crabs are in the tank. The data sheet even has step by step destructions on how to use the data sheet i will not leave port with out it.I just finished a king season and with 200 pots i hammered almost 360,000 lbs in a 132 hr season. The guide also will cover what is the best way to set your pots what is the best way to choose your crew without going broke. In another forum i have helped alot of other game Capt's So if anybody needs help do not be afraid to ask that is what i did Even the boat you choose the crew those two things are a big factor if you don't have a balanced crew one person or two will be doing everything and you will see that in there health meter it will go down more that others.

The other night as i started out on the awesome king season i had alot of others asking does the gas gauge work??Also does the depth gauge work??The answer is YES they do I drained all the fuel out of THE CRABCRUSHER but a 1,000 gallons and then i set out with 200 pots.I set the first 50 pots then i headed back to dutch when i docked and it opened it up and i started with 1,000 gals after 50 pots i had 868 gallons left so in 50 pots you will use 132 gals of fuel of course it will vary on what boat is used. The other is the depth gauge everything is fathoms how much is 1 fathom it is 6ft.LOLOL So the next time you see 11 fathoms on your depth gauge your are in 66ft of water there was a big discussion about did it work or did it not until i proved that they both worked.LOLOL I sure was not about to run out of fuel and hear it from my crew and the embarassement of a tow from the coasties.
