Blake Painter Bio: Blake Painter is a young, hardworking second-generation fisherman born and raised in the Oregon coastal town of Astoria. Blake started fishing at the age of 3. His dad operates the Evening Star, and he has one younger brother who also works in the fishing industry. Blake spends 11 months out of the year fishing and has been skippering since he was 19 years old. This is Blake's fifth season on the Maverick, and he's going to take the helm from Rick during this trip. He bought his own boat called Tradition in February 2008.
