Well anyways, to get back on track...

It would be stupid to get rid of Keith, he adds some fire to the show. As was proven last week.

Looking forward to tonight!

come on....Keith has never been that bad. I admire the way he was in that storm and ordered his crew off deck. NO one felt worse than him, that any of the crew members were hurt. We aren't, but they are out there under the strain and stress any of them are, of course we have our favorites. There are a lot of misunderstandings especially when booze is involved. They could all grow up a little. NO one is the "only" boat on that show. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

"I'd never fish with Sig. The only reason that little boat is competing with the larger boats is his family's tradition of cruel and unusual punishment in the name of money. Keith... he does seem to be show boating. So is Jonathan. What ever guys. They'd never do that crap if a camera wasn't around. And what is with all the shaving and showering?? "
Why do you refer to the Northwestern as a little boat? You need to get your facts straight--family tradition of cruel and unusual punishment. I think not - give me a break. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

"Look at what Jon did to Russ last year. Russ was his "good friend" Russ once saved Jons life out on the Bering Sea. This was all written by Jonathan himself. He was just pissed that Keith called his boat a row boat. Do you remember last year when Jonathan went down and started throwing things at his crew for not doing something. He needs anger mangement. Give me a break"
i felt sorry for russ at first...but he seems to think he is the greatest thing to hit the crab grounds.he has an attitude, thats what keeps getting him in trouble...that and all his breaks Do you find this valuable?

How awful...and you are so right. Prayers and concern for life should be so much more supported than name calling and pushing and shoving like little children. God Bless, all of the boats and fishermen. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

WHAT!!!! Lol.. I have to be honest here i really like keith yes at times he does seem wheak but isnt that what makes the shows? I mean why do they have them on tv if it didnt really show their true sides against each other and also i do think that greendorns get the bad end of the shaft on the show but if they didnt want to be on the show itself it would be no show, and on jonathon i dont like him the way he does his brother andy does better than he does. Just my opinions. Do you find this valuable?

Mostly I agree, with comment one and two. However they mostly need to grow up. Keith treats his brother like crap, and in all his years he put his guys in that kind of harms way? Keith can be ok, but acts like a little kid throwing a tantrum. And you don't want to be a greenhorn on the Wizard. I disagreed with Jonathon's firing of Russell. I guy sticks with you all those years? Progressive discipline? Jonathan I like you, but have you heard of it? If you don't want your guys using the Sauna, don't have one, or post rules of use. Love the show, Keith is a Winer, could use his crew on another boat, most of his crew are decent guys. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Someone had to go on the TB. Russell ahd other plans and wouldn't work the summer. They offered and he said he couldn't.Yes the Hillstrands can be hotheaded. But issn't that what we love about them. Can't get more honest than those guys. LOL Capt John brains go right to his pipes. As has been said before. He doesn't take the time to think before he goes off. And Andy had alot to do with russell being let go.He wanted him gone. 1  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

"Clouds you are sooooo right...fresh water was golden... if we did grab a shower we got no more than 2 minutes to take care of business...get wet... turn off water.. soap up.... rinse and you were done... about 5 gallons of water total....these guys are pretty clean!!! We always ad a leave your life on the dock rule but that does not say there are not tensions on a boat.. small quarters and there is always someone who stirs it....I could go days on end and not say a word and that would drive them all crazy!!! but mostly anger takes energy and we were running on nothing so no energy for practical jokes or anger...Jon is a show boater...with a BIG case of little big mans syndrome....alcohol and skippers DO NOT MIX......."
I still can't believe how many boats, the hot and cold pipes were exposed so if you grabbed the wrong one to brace yourself, you burned the cr-- out of your hand! Or knee or shoulder or.... I never felt comfortable on boats with hot headed/screamer captains. But neither did I feel comfortable with the ones who would let the whole boat go to sleep while drifting in the shipping lanes! Intense, sure but controlled intensity is best. I used to get pretty zoned out and at the time, could never figure out why it was so much fun to mess with me. Now, with more sleep under my belt, I realize they were just trying to break the monotony and I was an easy target. They kept my on my toes! Do you find this valuable?

OK, I should have said narrow. I looked at that stats, and TB is the shortest. But a lot of your stability comes from the width/length/depth ratio. The one thing I had forgotten is how incredibly deep the NW holds are. The more stable the boat, the more extreme weather you can fish in.

I need to ask this, have you ever stayed awake for 72 hours straight repeatedly? All the time doing extreme physical labor in some of the worst conditions imaginable? Norwegian fishing is known for it's backward and extreme methods. I was actually surprised to see Sig using a conveyor belt to take the crab from the table to the tanks. Very progressive of them!
