"We' ll have to figure out a way to get a message to Thom Beers. And tell him inquiring minds want to know. There is a wager riding on this. My opinion, if they go out again, their nuts. Especially, after surviving what they survived. But like Captain John 007 says, "you need to get back up on the horse". "Oh I agree with you there... getting back in the saddle is the best way to overcome your fears... but I can see the seasoned crew returning... the Greenhorns on the other hand.... if that was their first trip out (and what a hell of an experience that turned out to be)... then I would say chances are they'd think long and hard and may not return... Do you find this valuable? |

I am litterally on the verge of tears as he is beating himself up over the loss of lives.... Phil told him he did everything he could and not to beat himself up , Sig is on the verge of tears... Oh my.. Capt. Joe does not thinkg he will ever go out to the sea again because of what happened....Now the coastguard man is talking about the location of the rescue of the surviviors...... 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |

I was hesitant about the Captain of the Katmai going back.. but I thought maybe after some time... he'll return again.. maybe start off easy in the summer season.. .. that's what my bet was.. that he'd be the only one to return if at all, I guess.. Do you find this valuable? |

There was also the "inquiry" or investigation that followed... standard practice.. for insurance reasons.. That dragged the whole healing process out. Our guys were trying to convince him he'll go back out again.. and I'm thinking with more time to heal, he just might. It's just simply too soon. He's got survivors guilt... I'm sure he's seeking professional counseling to help him through that.... They do that for airline survivors as well. Do you find this valuable? |
