I too think Phil's health crisis is serious...but if he though it was serious, wouldn't he stop the smoking and drinking that helped get him to that crisis in the first place. On the show when he called the boat I was livid to see him smoking and drinking and upset he couldn't be on the boat.

While it is true that smoking and drinking are bad for a person, I'm not sure if that causes blod clots such as the one Phil had. He is an intelligent guy, and I'm sure he is doing his best to do what it takes to get back on his boat.

I too would take the Cornelia Marie! Phil is my fave and I'll bet he loves it that he has so many girlfriends on here. LOLDC is an awesome show and I watch it whenever it's on. I could see the shows over and over again. If I ever get the chance I will indeed ask Phil for a hug or 2. HEE HEE Do you find this valuable? |

HEY XENA432000 I know this is THE DEADLIEST CATCH page but I wanted to say I am a Xena fan as well. I have almost all the seasons on tape I have coats, jewlrey, clothes posters well I have over 800 bucks worth of Xena stuff. I was shocked and glad to see someone still likes The Warrior Princess....Awsome!!!

I had never even heard of The Deadliest Catch until a dear friend of mine perished from a crab boat in the Bering Sea on January 6, 2009. His memorial website mentioned DC, and I remember him mentioning it the last time we spoke a few weeks earlier. I was sick with grief and I began watching the show. My friend had few family members and now I understand why he loved fishing so much. He did it for 9 years. I am now addicted to the show, I record every one of them, old and new. I also love Capt. Phil. Johnathan is hot, but Phil is my kind of man, and I'm single....hmmmm...

He has very little family and I wasn'y aware of his accident right away. I was hoping that the call might have been mentioned on the show, I guess for some closure, but when they showed the opening day of the Opelio season this year there was nothing said. I would love to find if any of the guys heard anything on that day. His name was Keith Criner and had been fishing for 9 years. They called him "Moose". Do you find this valuable? |

I LOVE DC!!! I started watching it in 2007 with my dad and have never missed an episode since. Captain Phil is my favorite. My dad and I watch it every Tuesday night and after the he calls me and we talk about(i moved way to college in '07, so its kind of been our little thing to stay close). I'm new to the site, so its cool to see that I'm not the only one obsessed with the show(sadly, none of my friends watch it...their loss).
