I love Captain Phil

I am 65 years young and I love Captain Phil Harris. If I wasn't already married, I'd be on his trail. LOL. Seriously, I expected him to be a permanent fixture on the show. I really miss him and pray for his improved health and return to the show. Catch Forever! 5  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree with you Captain Phil rocks! I love how good he is with his kids and keeps his sense of humor even when things are going south. It was the saddest thing ever to watch him on the dock as his ship sailed off without. The season won't be the same with him. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Hello ladies. I too love Captain Phil, and I call him ""My Own Wee Darlin Phil." I would LOVE to meet him someday.
I too miss him and cried when he and his sons hugged and then he blew a kiss and saluted his beloved Cornelia Marie. Hopefully he'll be back for Opie Season.

He's very lucky to have 2 very fine sons to take over the boat, after Muary sp? finishes with her.I think we would all like to know Phil is alive and kicking on land than to go out and pass away at sea even if it is something he truley loves to do with all his heart. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. I sure hope that you are right. The show just won't be the same without Phil. I feel Murray has a really tough job trying to fill in for his friend phil and I hope the rest of the crew give a chance. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

If I could meet one of the captains it would be Phil. He reminds me of my late husband. He is everything that Ron would have loved to be. He wanted a harley and tats but not while our kids were young. He had a blood clot that was his end and he never got that bike or anything. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

My husband and I rode Harley's for years. The day I retired in 1993, we and two friends began a 5000 mile ride from Prague, OK to Albuquerque NM to Regina CN down to Sturgis then home. We were gone 3 weeks and had a wonderful time. We went on our last ride to Sturgis in 2002. After that we both began to have some health problems and had to sell our bikes. The sound of a Harley still gets our attention. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I am sorry to hear that. Ron loved to hear about Sturgis and really would have loved to gone there. It is a shame that you had to sell your bikes. Could you have kept them and just taken short rides? We have alot of bikes coming thru my town. I am not sure if it is the gas prices or people are really just getting into them. My kids just love to see them come into town. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I too love Captain Phil and was very disappointed that he wasn't able to be with us this season. Maybe we have all taken for grated the the "usual captains" will always be there for our entertainment as we have come to love them and more or less consider them part of our family on Tuesday nights. I think part of what pulls at our heart strings the most is knowing that Phil doesn't have a wife and his sons are out on the boat and is more or less out there alone and on his own. Knowing the fan base he carries, I'm sure there are a lot of women that would be proud to take care of him, myself included, given the chance if he desired someone. I think though he is a proud, independent and self reliant type of guy that needs no one unless he chooses to because he really loves them. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Oddly, I think if he had a choice on how he'd like to "go"... then it wouldn't surprise me if it was sittin' in the wheelhouse, haulin' the crab gold! It's his life and his true love, I think! 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I think Phill's health crisis is still serious, and thats why he knew better than to temp fate. From the scenes we've seen he's apparently calling the boat regularly and checking on things. Once he got so sick last season, he stated that he always thought he go setting there in his captains chair. Once you're faced with death at your door it's a little different. He's taking his treatments to get better so he can go back to his true love and his life-fishing. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

When my DC addiction first started, I really didn't care for Phil. I actually couldn't get enough of Sig, When the boys came on onboard and I saw the interaction between Dad 'n boys, it gave my heart a tickle. I cried when Phil got sick and I cried when he saluted the CM. Now, I don't get Sig a second look. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

LOL... well in all honesty. If I had never seen DC or knew anything about the show and were to be in a bar or somewhere - and Capt Johnathan, Capt Phil, or Capt Sig came walking in and glanced my way, I probably wouldn't be real keen on any of them. I would think Sig was the cutest of the three. If Andy came in - I'd be like... oooo.. there's a hottie.. and then Edgar, he's a cute one too. I most likely wouldn't notice Keith too much either.

BUT - it's completely different now that I've gotten to "know" them so to speak through the show. I have a completely different view and a lot more feelings for them - Any of them (if they weren't married in this case) - could make my head turn, just about. Don't you just wanna run up to Phil and give him a big huge hug and kiss, now?! What a sweetheart!

Captain Phil is a total Teddy Bear!! :D I asked him for a hug at CatchCon and it was the best EVER. (If you ever get the chance: ASK FOR A HUG FROM CAPTAIN PHIL. *LoL!!*) He's a totally chill dude and, while I'm a bit young to have a romantic thing for him (his boys are another story :P), I want either him or Murray to adopt me. *LoLoL!!* I can't wait for his health issues to clear up so he can man the CM again. :) 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Well, I certainly have a lot of competition out there in DC land. I hope Captain Phil realizes how many "girl" friends he has. LOL. Even though I have ridden a HarIey many years, I am chicken to the core. But if I had a chance to ride on one of the boats it would be the Cornelia Marie. The "roughest" water I've been on is Lake Michigan fishing for Coho. Well, girls, good luck with him, but I love him the most. FOTFL
